Just 30 minutes from Paramaribo, Peperpot Nature Park offers a peaceful escape into the tropical rainforest. The tour begins with a scenic bus ride where you may spot butterflies, dragonflies, monkeys, sloths, and reptiles. Upon arrival, you’ll take a guided walk through the park, following irrigation canals and passing by coffee trees, including the historic ‘kofimama’.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to the old plantation grounds, where you’ll explore a former coffee factory and learn more about the area’s rich history. To end the experience, we’ll stop at Boutique Hotel Peperpot for a moment of relaxation, where you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and optionally order a drink. We return to the city around 12:30 – 13:00.
